    The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a Board of Education for private and public schools. Schools that are affiliated from CBSE get a special recognition worldwide. CBSE got its name in the year 1952. At that time, the main objectives of the board were; helping the educational institutions in an efficient manner, to be approachable whenever there is an educational need of students whose guardians were employed in the Central Government and had transferable jobs. Around 1,000 schools in India and other countries are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). 

    The functions of CBSE are governed under the overall supervision of the Controlling Authority which is vested with the Secretary Education, Government of India, HRD Ministry. CBSEs governing body is constituted as per its rules and regulations.

    Various examinations are conducted by CBSE every year. The Central Board of Secondary Education conducts the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) for Class 10th and 12th. It also conducts AIEEE exam for admission to undergraduate courses in engineering and architecture in many colleges spread over India. It also conducts NEET exam for admission to main medical colleges in the nation. CBSE also conducts Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) and JEE (Main). The Central Board of Secondary Education is responsible for preparing the syllabus for the schools affiliated under it. CBSE is one of the recognized boards of school education in the world. The pattern offered by CBSE has been adopted by many Indians schools abroad.

    CBSE had officially announced to introduce a grading system for Class X from the year 2008. CCE has been introduced in CBSE schools which are a new nine point scale system. In CCE system, students studying in CBSE schools would have to get qualifying grades in four of the five subjects to get promoted to the next level. The pass or fail status is not carried in the mark sheets of the students. Students are awarded grades from A to E. Many changes have been made by the board for the continuous development of the education system.

    WBJEE 2021: WBJEEB has released the revised WBJEE exam date 2021. Now the entrance exam will be conducted on 17th July. Along with the exam dates, the authorities have also released the admit card date.

    WBJEE 2021: As per the latest update, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has revised the WB Joint Entrance exam (WBJEE) dates. As per the revised schedule, the WBJEE exam will be conducted on 17th July in offline mode. The exam will be held in two shifts. WBJEE first shift will be conducted between 11 am and 1 pm for Paper 1 (Mathematics) while the second shift will be held from 2 to 4 pm for Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry).

    Earlier, the West Bengal JEE was scheduled to be held on 11th July. However, it has been postponed to 17th July. As per the official statement, “In view of the COVID-19 second wave pandemic situation and continued restrictions, the date of WBJEE-2021 has been rescheduled keeping in mind the health and academic interest of the aspiring candidates."

    WBJEE 2021 Other Important Dates

    As per the revised schedule, the admit card for WB Joint Entrance exam (WBJEE) will be released on 12th July 2021 in online mode. Candidates will be able to obtain it till the date of the exam that is 17th July. Only those who have successfully registered for the exam will be able to obtain the admit card. The authorities have not yet announced the result date. The application form of WBJEE was available from 23rd February to 30th March 2021.

    West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination, commonly known as WBJEE is a state-level entrance test conducted for admission into the undergraduate Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture programmes in Government and self-financed institutions and universities across West Bengal.

    The exam is conducted for two papers - Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry). Both papers will be conducted for 2 hours. Candidates qualifying WBJEE 2020 result will be eligible to participate in the counselling process and take the admission process further.

    National Testing Agency (NTA) releases a list of names of colleges that offer admission through JEE Main 2020. This list of participating institutes of JEE Main will help candidates to provide their preference for colleges during the counselling process. JEE Main participating institutes 2020 consists of National Institute of Technology (NITs), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs). Apart from 31 NITs, 25 IIITs, and 28 CFTIs, some states and universities also accept the JEE Main score for admission of candidates to the UG engineering courses.
