Killexams : NHL, SAP announce multi-year partnership; unveil new statistics platform that launches today

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The National Hockey League (NHL) today announced a multi-year North American partnership with SAP SE, the enterprise application software and database leader. As the official cloud software provider of the NHL®, SAP collaborated with the League on the transformation of the NHL's statistics platform on NHL.com and the introduction of new and enhanced statistics that will establish NHL.com/Stats as the definitive destination for hockey analytics. Starting today, fans, broadcasters and media around the world will be able to analyze official League, team and player statistics via a more comprehensive, interactive and personalized interface that includes advanced search features and new filters for team and player comparisons.

"Hockey is extremely fast-paced with very little stoppage in play, which results in many aspects of the game failing to show up in the box score," said John Collins, NHL Chief Operating Officer. "In partnering with SAP and using its best-in-class SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud service, we are now able to capture data points like never before and present existing and new statistics in a visually appealing way.

"The new NHL stats platform goes beyond data to offer insights that will help avid fans go deeper and help casual fans understand the game better. There are also unlimited storytelling opportunities as we provide our fans with a personalized and interactive experience."

Phase one of the NHL.com/Stats redesign includes the League's presentation of enhanced statistics - shot attempts (SAT), unblocked shot attempts (USAT) and shooting plus save percentage (SPSV%) - and the introduction of more than 30 new extended statistics, including first and second assists (1st A, 2nd A), goals by time (G/20), penalties (taken and drawn) by time (Pen/20, PenDr/20) and average shot length (ASL).

In time for the 2015 Stanley Cup® Playoffs, phase two of the NHL.com/Stats redesign will feature analysis for every Stanley Cup Playoffs game and series. Based on a team's exact performance, each series will be examined based on an algorithm that incorporates 37 variables – such as road record, goals against, special teams statistics, and many more. NHL.com/Stats also will feature advanced filtering to enable game, season and career comparisons between players, teams and games, delivered in dynamic line graphs.

Shortly before the start of the 2015-16 NHL season, phase three of the NHL.com/Stats redesign will incorporate additional new features that could include new metrics, innovative visualizations, active player comparison tools, player performance prediction tools, NHL pre-season rankings and NHL team power indexes.

In 2016, to coincide with the launch of the NHL's Centennial Celebration, phase four of the NHL.com/Stats redesign will feature the entire official statistical history of the NHL, including every box score dating back to the NHL's inaugural 1917-18 season. Once the complete archives of the NHL's statistics are fully integrated, new tools and functionality of NHL.com/Stats, including advanced filtering and visualizations, will be applied to the entire history of the League. For the first time ever, fans will be able to compare players and teams spanning all generations.

"Our partnership with the NHL will allow fans to gain deeper insights from the game and tell enticing stories about hockey and its players," said Quentin Clark, Chief Technology Officer, SAP. "With the new NHL stats platform, we are going to deliver real-time insight at the player and team level that has never been seen before in hockey. Together with the NHL, we will continue to look for new opportunities to help innovate and Strengthen the game, as the next generation of hockey begins."

SAP will be the presenting partner of the NHL.com/Stats destination. In addition to implementing the SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud® service, the NHL will utilize various SAP® solutions and technologies including potentially deploying the SAP Cloud for Customer solution, the SAP® InfiniteInsight® solution, the cloud edition of SAP Lumira® software, SAP® BusinessObjects™ business intelligence solutions, SAP Predictive Analytics software and SAP Data Services software.

Killexams : SAP Releases Important Security Patches in Latest Portfolio Wide Update

SAP released 27 new and updated Security Notes, including six High Priority notes, during its July patch release.

Onapsis Research Labs (ORL) supported SAP in patching a Missing Authorization Check vulnerability in the highly sensitive SAP Enterprise Extension Defense Forces & Public Security application.

ORL detected that one of the remote-enabled function modules of this application can be compromised due to a missing explicit authorization check, which can result in an escalation of privileges and impact the application’s confidentiality.

These security patches include:

  • SAP Security Note #3212997, tagged with a CVSS score of 7.6, patches a critical Information disclosure vulnerability in integration scenarios of SAP B1 and SAP HANA. The vulnerability allows a highly privileged attacker to gain access to sensitive information such as high privileged account credentials, which could be used to help launch subsequent attacks.
  • SAP Security Note #3157613, tagged with a CVSS score of 7.5, solves an issue in the license service API of SAP B1. A Missing Authentication Check allows an unauthenticated attacker to send malicious http requests over the network in order to break the application and make it inaccessible.
  • SAP Security Note #3191012, was another High Priority Note and was tagged with a CVSS score of 7.4. This note patches a code injection vulnerability in the SAP B1 client. The vulnerability enables a low privileged attacker to control the behavior of the application.

Additionally, SAP Security Note #2726124, tagged with a CVSS score of 6.3, was already released at the end of June. The note patches a Missing Authorization Check vulnerability in multiple components of SAP Automotive Solutions.

The impact on the application’s confidentiality, integrity, and availability is considered low but the exploit is relatively easy to perform since an attack can be started remotely and doesn’t require advanced privileges.

With businesses around the country and the world facing continual disruption, technological tools are increasingly crucial to the success of established enterprises and start-ups alike. Which tools can you rely on? Working with Statista Inc., the globally recognized data research company, Newsweek has produced an authoritative list of America's Best Business Tools.

We name the top providers of business software and software services in 54 categories: from audio editing software to cybersecurity tools. We also looked specifically at a new generation of workers. The first members of Generation Z (people born after 1995) are graduating from college and finding jobs—or creating their own—and we highlight the business tools preferred by these energetic young employees and entrepreneurs.

Nancy Cooper, Global Editor-in-Chief

Methodology:

The Best Business Tools list is based on a nationwide survey of more than 10,000 professional users of software and software service providers. There was an additional evaluation of more than 1,500 Gen Z users (born 1995 and later), who completed the survey. The survey was administered using an online access panel, and young entrepreneurs from business schools across the U.S. were invited to take the survey by Newsweek. In 54 categories, participants were asked to identify all providers of business software and software services they know and have used before. Within each category, the participants could choose from an autofill list of providers of software and software services, compiled through research from relevant online registers. Participants were also invited to name other, additional providers. The survey examined the participant's willingness to recommend the provider and asked them to rate the provider in categories of trust; service promise; reliability; security; improvement and satisfaction. Each participant evaluated several providers of business software and software services: more than 71,000 evaluations have been collected. For every provider, a weighted score from 0 to 100 was calculated using the criteria above. In each category, the providers with a score of 75 and higher are cited; therefore, the number of recognized providers for each category varies. In total, 416 business software and services were awarded in 54 categories. Providers with the highest score among Gen Z users were marked as "Gen Z Favorite." The complete description of the methodology is available here. If your company is listed below, you can find out more about the licensing options visiting the Statista website.

Killexams : Modern Health Expands its Leadership Team with Appointment of Tableau Executive Jesse Calderon as CTO

First mental health technology company to publish peer-review study demonstrating quality of global provider network and associated positive clinical outcomes

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 3, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Modern Health, a leading workplace mental health platform supporting enterprises globally, announced the appointment of industry veteran and former Tableau executive Jesse Calderon as Chief Technology Officer to oversee the company's technology organization and further scale the platform to provide high quality, clinically rigorous care across the globe. His appointment comes on the heels of another strong quarter as Modern Health became the first mental health technology company to publish a peer-reviewed study on the quality of their global provider network. The study demonstrated that a patient's confidence in a provider's ability to help is equally strong for certified coaches and licensed therapists and that these relationships contributed to improvements in well-being, underscoring the strength of the company's provider network.

Modern Health is the comprehensive mental health and wellness platform that combines the WHO well-being assessment, self-service wellness kits, a global network of certified coaches and licensed therapists, all available in a single app. (PRNewsfoto/Modern Health)

Technology has been critical to increasing access to mental health care, evidenced by the growing engagement with virtual therapy, coaching, and digital tools. Modern Health recently launched its Global Insights Playbook which underscores the importance of multiple modalities of care for global workforces. Specifically, Modern Health members in Canada, Germany, Ireland, and the Netherlands have higher utilization of self-guided digital tools and Modern Health Circles than Modern Health users in other countries.

As technology continues to be a crucial component to mental health care and support, Calderon will leverage nearly two decades of software development experience and leadership to help Modern Health advance its innovations. Before joining Modern Health, Calderon served as the senior vice president of Tableau, leading key engineering and product functions during critical periods at the company, including their $16 billion acquisition by Salesforce. Before Tableau, he also held leadership roles at SAP and Business Objects. Other strategic hires made include Sam Hanna, Ph.D. who has joined as Modern Health's Vice President of Professional Services to establish a function that advises on services and solutions for its growing customer base.

"As an engineer by trade, I've always been interested in building innovative products that disrupt the status quo. Modern Health is transforming an industry that has long been riddled with discriminatory obstacles and red tape," said Jesse Calderon, CTO of Modern Health. "I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Modern Health's exceptional business and clinical leaders to transform and define the future of the mental health care industry. Modern Health has set a high standard for enterprise mental health care, and in this role, I look forward to building upon that so we can continue to evolve the platform."

Modern Health's latest peer-reviewed study evaluates the therapeutic alliance or relationship between an individual and provider and its impact on well-being, building upon years of psychological research related to mental health care. Key findings from the study published in the Journal of Technology in Behavioral Science, include:

  • 90% of Modern Health members were confident in their certified coach or licensed therapist's ability to help them and work on agreed upon goals
  • Members with elevated depression scores experienced an average 76% increase in their well-being after one-to-one care
  • 58% of Modern Health members who started care with depressive symptoms experienced clinical recovery after one session with a certified coach
  • Stronger therapeutic alliance predicted greater improvements in well-being

"What is becoming more and more apparent is that telehealth is not only here to stay, but it's effective," said Sara Sagui-Henson, Ph.D., Modern Health's Research Scientist. "Our research demonstrates the strength of the provider-patient relationship during virtual care, and the opportunity we have to build on this flexibility and offer different modalities of support. We saw that coaching and therapy in a virtual setting can result in strong improvements of well-being if there is a strong member-provider relationship, which is why it's important to provide a variety of options of care so patients can make the best decision for themselves based on their clinical needs."

Furthering its mission of destigmatizing mental health, Modern Health recently announced four-time Grand Slam winner and Modern Health's Chief Community Health Advocate, Naomi Osaka, as the opening keynote speaker for its virtual global industry conference Elevate taking place Sept. 7-8, 2022. It also kicked off its Women's Tennis Association (WTA) partnership with the launch of the first installment of its five part video series "The Real Me '' profiling tennis champion Sloane Stephens and her journey with mental health.
