If you work in information technology, or are considering entering the industry, you have to be flexible. Skills like software engineering, in demand in 2022, may not be as valuable in 10 years—much like how single technology expertise and STEM degrees are fading out of the norm.
Many companies now hire based on measurable skills rather than a piece of paper; a college degree could illustrate how well you’ll perform in the workplace, but a professional certification is hot commodity when you're aiming for a specialized industry like IT. For example, earning the proper CompTIA credentials suggests to recruiters that you understand the technology their businesses need to operate.
Enter The Complete 2022 CompTIA Certification Course Super Bundle, featuring 15 courses to guide you through entry-level to advanced certifications. And it’s on sale for $49.99.
This training packs more than 400 hours of CompTIA certification prep—from Fundamentals+ to Cloud+ and CASP+—compiled by iCollege, an e-learning marketplace and official CompTIA trusted partner. Courses themselves are provided by ITProTV, which presents lessons in a “talk show” format to keep the material engaging.
If you’re new to IT, there are two courses you should focus on: Fundamentals+ and A+, which cover the FC0-U61, 220-1001, and 220-1002 exams. Acing these exams and earning these certifications endorses your expertise in configuring hardware and operating systems, and proves you have a working knowledge of IT infrastructure, troubleshooting, networking, virtualization, and more.
After getting some real-world IT experience under your belt, tackle the Network+ and Security+ courses, which introduce the cybersecurity landscape and show how to respond to various network threats. Then, specialize in the area of IT that interests you most. Want to dive deeper into cybersecurity? Pursue CySA+ and its subsequent certifications; alternatively, you can aim for Linux+ and Server+, if cloud computing intrigues you.
The Complete 2022 CompTIA Certification Course Super Bundle is a comprehensive collection that can teach you skills to stay relevant in the IT world. Through July 14, PCMag readers can get this 15-course training for $49.99—98% off the $4,425 MSRP.
